Over Christmas, we invited the local community to share their favourite people, places and memories from the local area.
We received over 100 responses, including many from young people, highlighting local nature, people and history. Stories ranged from the area’s Second World War heritage and the Augustinian Order to Nicholas Ferrar’s links with Bourn, the pioneering of IVF at Bourn Hall, and inspirational figures such as Rosalind Franklin and Louise Brown – the first IVF baby.
