Held on Sunday 7th June, our Open Day marked the culmination of months of work – including archaeological surveys, excavation, design development and analysis carried out by planners, landscape architects, engineers and archaeologists.
We invited the wider community to come and discover Bourn Airfield’s long history and explore its future at High Bourn, South Cambridgeshire. Visitors took part in guided walks led by archaeologists from Oxford Archaeology, heard expert insights into how people lived on this land throughout history, and viewed a selection of artefacts uncovered during excavations.
This event also provided the opportunity to view our vision for the five neighbourhoods and explore plans for the first 500 new homes at High Bourn in conjunction with housebuilder Barratt Redrow.
Thank you for joining us.
